Dear colleagues,

The Structural Bioinformatics
groupat the
Bioinformatics Center, University of Copenhagen, is organizing a
one-day conference on Machine Learning in Structural
Bioinformaticson Wednesday, April 23rd
2008, at the Biocenter, Copenhagen. Registration is
free for academia, and for companies that are members of
BioSys.
The conference aims for an *interdisciplinary audience from structural
biology, bioinformatics, physics, mathematics, statistics, machine learning
and computer science*.

Topics include:

- Graphical models (Bayesian networks, factor graphs)
- Determination of macromolecular structure from experimental data
(X-ray crystallography, NMR, small angle scattering) using Bayesian
statistics
- The statistics of biomolecular structure and shape
- Probabilistic approaches to superposition and comparison of
macromolecules
- Machine learning methods to optimize the parameters of energy
functions for structure prediction and simulation

A poster/program of the meeting is attached.
