CCP4bb navigationCCP4bb <-- 1999 <-- November 1999 <-- 30 November 1999Subject: Postdoc position at Purdue University From: Wen Jiang jiang12 {- at -} PURDUE {- dot -} EDU Date: 2008-08-20 A postdoc position is immediately available in Dr. Jiang's laboratory ( http://jiang.bio.purdue.edu) at the Markey Center of Structural Biology and Department of Biological Sciences, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, USA. Our research focuses on structural determination of large macromolecular complexes and viruses using single particle cryo-electron microscopy and 3-D reconstruction. Purdue is well equipped with two FEI FEGcryo-microscopes (200kV and 300kV) and will install a new 300kV liquid Helium microscope in 2009. We have recently reported a 4.5Å resolution 3-D reconstruction of an icosahedral virus (see Nature 451:1130-4, 2008). Motivated postdoc is sought to participate our continued push of single particle cryo-EM 3-D reconstructions towards 3 Å resolution and the construction of atomic models of the protein components. Candidates with recent Ph.D. in structural biology and strong background in protein biochemistry and atomic modeling are encouraged to apply. Please send CV, statement of research accomplishments and interests, and references to Dr. Wen Jiang (jiang12@purdue.edu). CCP4bb navigationCCP4bb <-- 1999 <-- November 1999 <-- 30 November 1999 |
