Quantum 210 CCD X-ray detector general description

Quantum 210 CCD X-ray detector

Quantum 210 CCD X-ray detector is a two by two array CCD detector, consisting of four modules. The total active area is approximately 44100 mm2 (210 x 210 mm) with no more than 400 m slit between detecting areas.Total number of pixels = 4096 x 4096 with final image size about 16.8 Mb.

CCD chip specification

Thomson THX7899 (2K x 2K) chip with 2048 x 2048 pixels Thomson THX7899 (2K x 2K) chip with 2048 x 2048 pixels:
Pixel 14µm x 14µm photomos with 100% aperture
Image zone: 28.67mm x 28.67mm
Binning 2x2 pixels (format 1024x1024 with 28µm x 28µm)
Very low dark current (MPP mode)
Optimized responsivity in the 400-1100nm spectrum
Operating temperature: -40°C to +85°C

Each individual Thomson THX7899 (2K x 2K) chip with 2048 x 2048 pixels (all of them are used) is connected via fiber optic taper ratio is 3.6 to 1 to 105 x 105 mm X-ray sensitive phosphor area, optimized for 1 Å radiation. This mean that each pixel on CCD chip corresponds to 51µm square at the X-ray sensitive area.
